Necessity is the mother of invention - The beginning of the TomCat story
After our furry friends Tiger and Nala moved in, we naturally wanted to provide them with the best environment - a cat tree was the answer. What we found commercially was the bitter realization that there were no attractive scratching posts or cat furniture. There were only monstrous fur monsters that - due to the materials and adhesives - smelled terrible, looked terrible and wobbled terribly. For Tom, with his background in craftsmanship, it was clear... "We should make exclusive, handmade scratching posts made of real wood." Not just any old stuff, but scratching posts that conjure up a piece of nature in people's apartments and houses.
We have made it our mission to produce scratching posts for cats that are, above all, sustainable, natural and unique, just like your furry friend!

That's why we use a very special material for our scratching posts, which cats have been choosing for themselves for hundreds of years. We use real wood from local trees. Solid and naturally grown solid wood in its most original form. Or driftwood from our area, directly from or on the Rhine. A real natural scratching post.
